First Men In The Moon is a classic H.G. Wells story with special effects by Ray Harryhausen: a team of astronauts sent to the Moon by the U.N. find that they are not the first people there and that a civilization already exists deep within The Moon's surface.

After the movie we will discuss the impact of the Apollo 11 moon landings in history and their relationship to The Cold War as well as their place in pop-culture.
